My grandsons have been part of the Camp Woodhaven summer family for the past eight years. They started as campers and now are part of the staff team as a C.I.T. and a Camp Counselor. Throughout the past eight summers, Camp Woodhaven has been a special place for them. It provided a safe, structured, positive, and creative environment in which they grew personally. Directors Paula and George DeTellis have created a unique atmosphere at Camp Woodhaven which is joyous and rooted in their personal philosophy. The staff members reflect that philosophy and campers feel welcomed and accepted as they participate in camp community activities and programs.
The Camp also tailors the camp day to the age of your children ... from young to older, everyone has a fun, structured day - geared toward their age group!
Camp Woodhaven is the best summer camp experience my kids have ever had! The directors George and Paula are so sweet and do an amazing and efficient job of running the camp and communicating with parents. Everyone on their enormous staff is so incredibly kind and truly devoted to making it a great experience for the kids. And the activities they provide throughout the day are fun and exciting enough to keep the campers wanting to come back every day for more! We plan to return to Woodhaven every summer!!
My three kids have attended Camp Woodhaven for the last 7 summers. They are excited every day to head off to camp and come home after a busy, activity filled day. If you are looking for a traditional summer camp experience, and want your kids participating in a wide range of activities - this place is for you! Activities include: archery, swimming, drama, camp craft, character building and sports (to name just a few)! The staff keep the kids busy all day, every day - rain or shine! The kids are active and moving all day!
I am grateful that we found Camp Woodhaven for our grandsons eight summers ago. They have benefited in many ways as maturing teenagers. Camp Woodhaven has contributed greatly to their emotional, physical, social, and personal development.
Can't say enough about the staff and directors - everyone works very hard to make sure all of the campers have a great experience! Our kids attend this camp for at least 8 weeks each summer and they love it!
I cannot say enough good things about this camp! The first day of camp is full of nerves and fear, and the last day of camp is full of sadness! We live in Boston so it is a bit of a hike to get the girls to and from but it so worth it! They come back home singing songs, full of excitement to share all that they do - whether in the pool, or on a hike or some game they played - and are already excited about the next day. The staff is friendly, very responsive and always eager to help and assist. My girls love their counselors. This has become a staple of our summer - see you next year :-D
Our son has gone to Camp Woodhaven for the last 3 summers! He loves it more and more every year. Paula, George, and all the staff are absolutely amazing and have created such a warm and fun environment. My son wakes every camp day excited to go and bummed to leave when I pick him up. If you are looking for an amazing summer camp for your child, make sure to go to Woodhaven! It is well worth it!
